On December 26 each year, we count down the Top 50 South Australian artists for the year in the Heaps Good 50.
It’s been a painful year for the music industry across the globe, but we still saw a handful of great gigs and some incredible local music released in 2020. After a massive year for the duo, Teenage Joans took out the top spot for the second year running.
Cahli Blakers came in at #49 in last year’s countdown, but after teaming up with Tahlia Borg to form Teenage Joans and playing more than 50 gigs across the year, #1 was never in doubt for 2019.
The first official Heaps Good 50 kicked off with new artist Oc3aneyes, counting down all the way to the hottest act of the year: West Thebarton.
